Chain Lakes Provincial Park and Campground | Alberta, Canada
Chain Lakes Provincial Park is set within Canada's last large expanse of mostly undisturbed montane landscape. A slightly fractured band of montane habitat extends from Chain Lakes south to Beauvais Lake Provincial Park.
The park's lakes and proximity to the barrier of the Rocky Mountains make it a favoured migration stop-over for eagle, osprey and trumpeter swans. Visiting carnivores include cougars, lynx, grey wolves, and both black and grizzly bears.
