Spend an enjoyable Saturday morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) in the country savouring the sights and smells of the very festive Jaffray-Baynes Lake Farmers Market. The Market opens for its twenty-ninth season summer of 2019 starting on Saturday, June 15th and continues every Saturday throughout the summer months until Saturday, August 31st, for a total of 12 markets.
Wander the stalls sipping a fresh brewed cappuccino, munching a tantalizing bit of fresh baking or take in the Lions Club full-on sausage and egg breakfast. Locals and visitors alike, delight in the opportunity to exchange a bit of gossip while supporting the local economy. Arrive early especially if baked goods are on your shopping list!
You'll find fresh organic fruits and veggies, West Coast oysters, bedding plants, herbs, handmade soap, pottery, jewelry, imports (fabrics, clothing), wool, collectibles, tinctures & more. There's a café on-site as well as live music to entertain all. Children activities abound!
Summer 2019, the Baynes Lake Community Hall Society will be holding their pancake breakfasts each morning. Spend the weekend and camp at beautiful Surveyors Lake in Kikomun Creek Provincial Park just minutes from the market.
Turn south off Highway 3 on to the Jaffray-Baynes Lake Road. Driving approximately 20 minutes will bring you to the Community Centre (468 Jaffray Baynes Lake Road) located on the left side of the road.
This market is an outside market located on the parking lots and grounds of the Baynes Lake Community Centre near a provincial park, several camping areas, and marinas.
