Explanation of Live Music Scene (if there is one)
Kalispell Brewing Company often features local musicians and says "support Montana artists and Montana made beer!"
The Kalispell Brewing Company tasting room has quickly become a favorite gathering spot in Downtown Kalispell. The KBC offers a variety of great beers crafted using the traditional and labor-intensive "decoction" method of beer-making. The brewery is owned by a husband-wife duo, both telemark ski racers, who handle all aspects of the operation including brewing the beer.
Kalispell Brewing is located in the old Hendrickson Motor Company building, a monument to imaginative re-purposing. The tasting area is located in the former showroom and the service bays now house gleaming new fermentation tanks. Some of the auto dealership's original signage has been lovingly worked into the new architecture. Tasting room windows offer an expansive view of Main Street and seats on the roof-top patio provide breath-taking scenery of the Swan Mountain Range.
According to Montana's quirky liquor licensing laws, brewery tasting rooms must close at 8pm, can serve each patron only 48 oz. of beer per day and are not allowed to offer food (other than snacks like popcorn). Food can be purchased from nearby food trucks.
