Kalispell Historic Walking Tour (self-guided) | Kalispell, Montana

Walking Tour
Historic Downtown Kalispell – Karen Nichols

Step into downtown Kalispell of the early 1900's. The optimism of Kalispell’s early entrepreneurs endures in the architecture of the brick and stone buildings lining the streets. Artists' co-ops, shops, bookstores, boutiques and galleries are the current occupants of the picturesque storefronts. One-of-a-kind restaurants offer many opportunities to try local fare.

Head for the Visitor Center in the old train station in Depot Park to pick up your historic walking tour booklet. Be sure to ask for a free wooden coin, good for $5 toward a purchase from one of the many local businesses you’ll find as you follow your itinerary.

Best Starting Point

The best place to start is at the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce in Depot Park. Parking and accessible restrooms are available at the Chamber. Street parking is usually available along the route also.
