Kalispell, Montana Trail Guide
Located in Montana's Glacier Country, Kalispell, Montana is the hub of the Flathead Valley. There are several year-round multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, snowshoeing, and nordic skiing trails within minutes of Kalispell that will put you far above the bustling city.
Take a self-guided tour of Historic Downtown Kalispell or head up to Lone Pine State Park or Foy's to Blacktail Trails at Herron Park for single track and spectacular views of the Flathead Valley. Great Northern Rails to Trails offers bikers an opportunity to connect the town of Somers on the north shore of Flathead Lake west to Kila bordering the Smith Lake Waterfowl Production Area, on easy grade paved trail. For the more adventurous, start at the Foy's to Blacktail Herron Park trailhead and trek around 18 miles to the top of Blacktail Mountain to the south.
