Paddles are up at The Montana Dragon Boat Festival
Paddlers from the U.S. and Canada will race in 46-foot dragon boats at Bigfork Bay on Flathead Lake, the largest natural, fresh-water lake in the west. Each of the Hong Kong-style boats - with a dragon head at the bow and a dragon tail at the stern - holds a team of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steerer.

Bigfork is located on Highway 35.
Admission is free for spectators.
