Rock Climbing Teton Canyon | Montana

Climbing Area
Mid way through the climb. The views are great. See the river below. – Adam Jordan

This route is an extremely clean 5.7 slab climb with 5 pitches of great rock. Be prepared for long run outs between the bolts. It is roughly 500' requiring a dozen quick draws and double rope rappels. There is a variation start right out of the creek which will add an extra pitch and requires a standard rack (rated 5.9).

On your way up to a sweet little ski hill you will find this fun 5.7 multi pitch bolted route! While it is not as developed as more well used areas, this climb is as good as any. Located just above the Teton river, the impeccable view grows as you climb.

Best Access and Parking Areas

Head north from Choteau on HWY 89 for about 5 miles and turn left on a gravel road toward Teton Pass Ski Area. Continue on this road due W toward the national forest until you see a clean slab on your left. Park in the nearest pullout on the dirt road. It is a short hike across the river to the base of climb.
