Driving Directions from Nearest Town or Landmark

Take Wisconsin Ave north from Whitefish and turn right on to Reservoir Road. After ½ mile, the trailhead will be on your left. This trailhead is open for year-round recreation and is complete with ADA interpretive trail and picnic area next to Viking Creek.

Access the Whitefish Trail in Haskill from the Reservoir Trailhead just minutes from downtown Whitefish. Learn about the history of the area, local conservation efforts, and the Whitefish lake watershed on the ADA interpretive trail or enjoy a picnic alongside Viking Creek. This trailhead provides parking for 20-25 vehicles and has a ADA compliant vault toilet. The Whitefish Trail leaves the trailhead and quickly climbs through larch, fir, and cedar forests to the Valley Overlook, just 1.5 miles away.
