Directly outside downtown Whitefish, Montana there is a trail that whisks walkers, runners, hikers, bikers, and equestrians away through mile upon mile of public and private lands: it’s called the Whitefish Trail.
The Whitefish Trail is comprised of stacked loops, scenic overlooks, beautiful single-track trail and gated logging roads. It is a fabulous portal into prime wildlife habitat, sweeping vistas, and mountainous recreational hubs. The Whitefish Trail is the result of a community collaborative project driven by Whitefish Legacy Partners, a local non-profit.

Skyles Connection is accessible off Hwy 93 North, 3.5 miles from downtown Whitefish. Turn right on Skyles Lake Lane and continue to trailhead 0.3 miles. Maximum parking 6 vehicles
Just three miles from downtown Whitefish, Skyles Connection provides an alternative starting point for an adventure close to town. This trailhead is limited to six cars for parking and offers quick access to sweeping vistas of the Whitefish Range.
