Travelers for Open Lands

Type of Action

Join Montana inkeepers and land trust groups to conserve open lands

What You Can Do

Travelers for Open Land is a voluntary partnership between the traveling public, the Montana hospitality industry, private land owners, and land trust organizations to conserve scenic vistas, wildlife habitat, working farms and ranches, and recreational lands. These lands are why most visitors come to Montana. They are Montana's irreplaceable landscape for present and future generations.

Stay at a participating lodging property and your donation will help purchase conservation easements to conserve open lands. Twice a year, Travelers for Open Lands will grant funds to Montana nonprofit land trusts who submit an application for the funds demonstrating broad-based community support.

Or you can donate directly through a secure web site. Click here to donate.

The program is the creation of the Montana Innkeepers Association and the Montana Association of Land Trusts to provide a way for guests who stay at participating lodging properties to make a voluntary contribution to protect Montana's open lands.

Please support the businesses that support Montana's great open spaces!
