Ages Festival is Appropriate For

All ages, family event.

Co-approved by the Chinook Rodeo Association and the Canadian Cowboys Association, all the standard rodeo events are on and offer something extra for the little ones, in southwest Alberta.

Driving Directions

The rodeo grounds are located about 1 km west of the Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park entrance. Signage on Road 500 will direct you south along a 2 km gravel road to the rodeo grounds and Milk River. Driving time from Coutts, on the Montana border, is about an hour, and from Lethbridge an hour and a half.

Event Setting

Nestled in the hoodoos, the rodeo grounds are on the banks of the Milk River adjacent to Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park.

Saturday, August 3, 2019: rodeo starts at 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, August 4, 2019: rodeo starts at 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, August 5, 2019: rodeo starts at 1:00 p.m.

Free camping with admission.

Concession and Beer Garden


Adults: $10/day, 7-14yrs: $5/day, 6 yrs and under: free.
